Our Story
How Yogie Land Began
Yogie Land was created by a lifelong early childhood educator with a passion for helping children feel seen, supported, and free to be themselves. The idea began with a simple but important question: what if yoga for kids wasn’t just about poses, but became a world built from story, music, movement, puppetry, and emotional play?
This approach allows the experience to adapt. It works just as well in a quiet room with a handful of babies as it does on stage in front of a crowd of young children. No matter the setting, Yogie Land meets kids where they are and invites them to connect in the way that feels right for them.
Inspired by the warmth of Mister Rogers and the joy of Sesame Street, every class feels more like an adventure than a lesson. What started as one class has grown into something much bigger because we realized how few spaces truly meet children where they are.
That’s why Yogie Land was created. To offer something new. To reimagine what kids yoga could be.
Too often, kids yoga forgets what it means to be a kid.
“What about the little ones who need to jump, roar, or move through big feelings with their whole bodies? What about the children who don’t yet have the words, but still need the tools?”
If you’ve ever spent 15 minutes chasing a two-year-old around the room trying to get them to sit on a yoga mat, you’re not alone. Most kids yoga still treats class like a smaller version of adult yoga. Quiet mats. Structured poses. Lots of instructions. But that model doesn’t work for most children. It wasn’t built for how they learn.
And it hasn’t always been built for all children. Much of kids yoga quietly centers girls, with calm themes, gentle movement, and soft energy. These are beautiful and essential. But they often don’t reach boys in ways that feel natural or exciting. Of course we want girls to have access to these skills.
They need and deserve them just as much. But we’ve also reached a moment where many boys are left behind, not because they don’t need support, but because so few models are built for how they typically show up.
Some kids love the movement. Others connect through story, music, or play. Yogie Land was created to meet every child where they are. Even if a child never holds a pose, they stay engaged, feel included, and leave with something meaningful. What matters most is that each child walks away feeling seen, supported, and more connected to themselves.
So we built something different.
We created Yogie Land to reflect how young children actually learn: through movement, imagination, and emotional connection. Every class offers multiple ways to participate so that each child can stay engaged in their own way.
No two classes are ever the same.
Each session brings a new adventure, with different characters, poses, and emotional themes. While some familiar routines are repeated to support early learning and confidence, the rest is always changing. That balance keeps children curious, connected, and excited to come back.
At the heart of every class are four building blocks that bring each Yogie Land adventure to life:
Storytelling Yoga
Original Music
Immersive Puppetry
Educational Learning Games
It’s not just a class. It’s an adventure.
Whether your child connects through music, movement, or story, Yogie Land creates space for them to show up fully as they are. It’s playful. It’s purposeful. And it’s designed so every child walks away feeling stronger, calmer, and more connected.
Each class blends playful discovery, familiar moments, and opportunities to slow down and connect. Some children dive right in. Others take their time and observe. Both are welcome. Yogie Land is not about keeping up. It’s about discovering what feels right for your child.
A baby can share a class with a five-year-old. Their experiences may look completely different, but both will leave having learned something new. Every child takes what they are ready for and grows in their own way, through movement, music, imagination, and emotional connection.
